Sleep Deprivation

Visual Memory

Sleep deprived subjects were asked to look at a picture for 30 seconds. After this they were asked 10 questions about what they had seen. They were tested before and after sleep deprivation with two sets of matched questions.

The average number of correct answers before sleep deprivation was 5.3, compared with 4.3 after. This difference is not significant.
